The Wonderful Wedding

I've decided to start a blog to keep everyone updated on my new life. It has been a fairytale and I am so happy.

Jason and I were sealed for time and all eternity in the Dallas Texas Temple on June 25. It was so amazing and beautiful. I'm so blessed to have the best husband in the world who treats me like a queen.
After the beautiful sealing ceremony, Lanay, my amazing photographer sister-in-law took pictures of Jason and I with our families and just the two of us. My grandpa and grandma from seattle were able to join us and Jason's aunt and grandma also came down from Utah. We are so happy they all came down to share this wonderful experience with us.
The temple grounds are absolutely exquisite. The perfect place for our wedding pictures. The spirit was so strong there and so uplifting. I wish we could have stayed there all day and enjoyed it's wonderful serenity.

Nothing could have runied that day. Not even the on and off rain showers. They actually helped cool us off.
Later that evening we had a reception that was a miracle to have even happened. Our wedding planner's house was struck by lightening and caught on fire THE DAY BEFORE OUR RECEPTION. We are so blessed that she was so dedicated to our reception that she continued to work and make it perfect. It was exactly what we wanted. Actually it was more than we ever dreamed of! We are so thankful for her and everyone that helped her! So beautiful!

Our colors for the reception were yellow and white. The room was literally glowing. I don't know how anyone could have gone into that room and not been happy. You could feel the love and dedication that went into it; so warm and inviting! Yellow tulips, my favorite flower, were submerged in water as our centerpieces. A yellow light also shown up from the bottom of every centerpeice, adding to the glow of the room. The table clothes were white with a yellow satin overlay and the chairs were covered with a white fabric. The dance floor had pillars at it's four corners with more yellow light illuminating each one. They were also decorated with flowers and greenery. I'll post pictures soon.

The food was amazing, thanks to our caterer! Pulled pork, baked beans with bacon, potato salad, fruit salad, and ginger crisp cookes with cream on top. SO GOOD! The lemonade was to die for! Best lemonade I've ever had in my life, which is saying something considering lemonade is my favorite drink and I've had a ton of it in my lifetime. I drank at least 4 glasses!

I basically fell in love with the cake! It was adorable and exactly what I wanted, a tiered cake with white butter cream frosting with tiny yellow fondant daisys cascading down the sides. Not to mention it was DELICIOUS! Yellow cake with lemon cream filling...YUM! Jason's best friend, Brian's mom made it. She did a fabulous job!

So I had the best bridesmaids anyone could ever have ever! Amy McDondald and Amanda Vermilyea are the best friends anyone could ever ask for! They were there for me and helped me through this entire wedding process. Whether it was fluffing my dress or attempting to de-stress me they were there for EVERYTHING. I am so blessed to have them in my life. I LOVE YOU GIRLS!!

None of this would have been possible without the support and help from both sets of our parents. We are so thankful for all the countless hours of work they put into making our day special for us. We love you guys so much!

I'll top off this post with a few of my favorite bridal pictures, taken by Lanay Swanson. Check out her amazing work at http://lanayswanson.com/.
