14 Weeks Pregnant!

I've been getting a little behind on these posts. It's been a bad week....

First off! Baby is now the size of a lemon and can make facial expressions. Baby can grasp now and might be sucking his/her thumb. Also untra-fine downy hair called lanugois starting to develop on baby's body. Baby's liver had started making bile and the spleen has started helping in the production of red blood cells.

Well this past week was not a good one. The near fainting spells have been getting worse and I got a migraine every day for 6 days. Migraines are BAD but these were some of the WORST I have EVER had! With the worst one I couldn't even walk in a straight line. I literally felt like I was on a boat. After that I decided to call me doctor. They got me in right away and refered me to a neurologist (no working or driving for a while). I see her today, I'm really nervous.

Everything with baby is great though! That's a releif! My doctor was impressed with my baby bump (it's not fat...yay!) and when she was using the doppler to hear the heartbeat, baby kept moving around so she had to chase her/him around. It was so cute! haha

I'll post later on my neurologist appointment. (no belly picture yet...soon!)

I Smell Like a Lemon Drop!

I Love Burts Bees! They carry some of the best skin care products you can get, in my opinion. Soooo, of course I'm going to use there Mama Bee line. Mama Bee is specially formulated for pregnant women. I LOVE IT!

The body oil is probably my favorite. It smells like lemon drops! YUM! Also calming. It's also not like other oils that just sit on top of your skin and make it well...oily. It absorbs really fast and leaves your skin feeling hydrated and silky smooth. Who wouldn't love that?!

The belly balm is great too! It's so smooth and creamy! It also absorbs really quickly. I can tell I'm really going to love it when my belly is bigger (I have a small bump).

My skin feels so smooth and hydrated! I'm a very happy lady : )

LuLu's First Taste Of Freedom

We took our little girl for her first groom yesterday. Let's just say it was WAY over due. Sorry LuLu! So we took her to petco and they did awesome! I'm really happy with the results. She looks ADORABLE!

I'll have to take some better pictures; this was the best one so far. She still moves around at the speed of light, so most of the pictures of her just have parts of her in them. She'll calm down one day, right? ; )

We decided to take her for a walk, since the weather was beautiful! It was a perfect day! She's still not so great on the leesh though. She's getting much better. Jason decided to run with her for a bit. He was waiting about 100 feet in front of me for me to catch up. Unfortunetely LuLu snagged her leesh away from him and took off as fast as she could. Freedom!
All I could see was LuLu take off and then Jason run after her. Everytime he almost got her she some how got away again. That little stinker! So they disapered over down a hill. I was kinda freaking out cause they were getting closer and closer to the other complex gate. LuLu is so small that she can fit through the bars. If she would have done that, I don't know what we would have done.

Apparently she launched herself off the stone retaining wall on the side of our building and landed face first on the cement. Poor thing! She yelped and then walked herself over to the grass, sat down and started growling at the cement that hurt her. You tell that cement, Lulu! She bit her tongue and scratched her leg up a little, but other then that no damage done.

Maybe next time she'll think before she bolts...

13 Weeks Pregnant!

This week baby is the size of a peach and is able to move and flex those little arms and legs. Baby's motor skills are starting to work. Fingerprints have formed on baby's tiny fingertips. Awww! Go baby go!

Well, the nausea has been getting better and better. I only have it every once in a while. The migraines are still getting worse...the near fainting spells as well. Yesterday, while we were in the checkout at wal-mart (of all places), I had the worst near fainting spell yet. I got super thirtsy so I ran over and got a water bottle and started drinking. Hoping that would help. Definitely didn't. My legs started to go numb and I felt like I couldn't stand, so Jason had to hold me up (thanks honey). Everything got super super bright and then started to go black. I felt like I wasn't getting enough air and also very sick to my stomach. Jason had to pratically drag/carry me over to a chair. I started sweating like crazy and Jason said my lips were turning blue. SCARY! Thank goodness it passed pretty quickly once I sat down.

I wonder what the next weeks has in store.......

12 Weeks! FINALLY!

I'm finally 12 weeks pregnant! Woo hoo! I can finally relax! The sickness has been getting better everyday (minus a few setbacks here and there). I guess I traded being sick to my stomach for migraine headaches though. I've had 2 in the past week. That's pretty painful. I'm also having more near fainting spells. Once again though, it's all worth it!

This is my belly shot at 12 weeks. I definitely feel like I have a tiny baby bump. I can't sleep on my stomach anymore because of it. It's uncomfortable. I've been having some issues sleeping because of this. Trial and error.

This week baby is the size of a plum and his/her facial features are becoming more defined. Baby is developing reflexes this week; fingers will soon begin to open and close, mouth will make sucking movements, toes will curl and eye muscles will clench. Nerve cells are rapidly multiplying and synapses in baby's brain are forming furiosuly.

I had a doctor's appointment a few weeks ago. We got to hear the baby's heartbeat on this little machine called a doppler. It was one of the best experiences. Once we heard that heartbeat, all my worries melted away.

LuLu's First Snow!

Little miss LuLu has never seen snow in her life. So Jason filmed the little darling's first experience. Awww : )

SNOW...in TEXAS!

That's right! It snowed in Texas! This is kind of a big deal for all of us here in the lone star state. Especially considering it usually only happens once a year (unless we're talking about last year...but that doesn't count).
Even though it was FREEZING it was beautiful! I love the first snow of the season...
Enjoy!
