Surprise!! We're PREGNANT...

Well! As you can see that's a positive pregnancy test! We didn't believe that one at first so we decided to take this one....

Apparently this one was one of the best tests. It does not lie! There is no mistaking it, that is most definitely a positive. And for everyone that keeps asking YES IT WAS REALLY A SURPRISE!! ...but a good one! After we got over the shock and "oh my gosh! how are we gonna make this work?!!" we got very excited. We know everything happens for a reason and Heavenly Father has a plan. We feel very privileged that He blessed us with this new little life.

These are pictures from my first untrasound. That was such an amazing expereince. So at my first OB appointment I got an untrasound first (duh). We got to see our little baby, which was then the size of a pea. I wasn't as far along as we thought though. Only 6 weeks and 5 days. Amazingly we got to see and hear the little heartbeat. That was a miracle in itself because I was so early, they didn't think they would have been able to hear the heartbeat BUT they did! Go baby go! The heartrate was 123 which was also good for the age the baby was. At that time I didn't have many symptoms (besides being exhausted beyond all beleif) and it just didn't feel real. Being able to see and hear the baby made it all real!
I also met my doctor who is AWESOME! Such a nice lady! I absolutely adore her. She made me feel 100% comfortable. The office is also amazing! So relaxing and calm. I guess in a place where things can get stressful it's has to be a relaxing environment.
Yesterday I ended up having to go back to the doctor due to some complications. Everything turned out ok, thank goodness. I had another ultrasound. Baby got much bigger. Now the size of a raspberry and starting to look like something at 8 weeks and 5 days.
I'm so thankful to my mom who took me to my appointment and never left me side. Best mommy ever! LOVE YOU!
We got to hear the heartbeat again, it was much faster this time at 163. According to the wives tale it's a girl according to the heartbeat. Who knows though! I can't wait to find out! I think it'll be around my birthday (March 16) when we do find out. So not too much longer...sorta!
We found out I have the blood type o negative so I had to get a giant shot in my booty. I need to do some more research on it but apparently my blood type can cause issues with future pregnancies but getting this shot will take care of that. I have to get another one when I'm around 28 weeks and then another after the baby is born. Let's just say I'm not exactly excited. This shot was intense. First of all it's called a syrem, which leads me to believe that it's more of a syrup then a liquid. OW! My mom had to move when they were doing it because it was so intense. Keep in mind she is not a squemish lady. Lately shots have no been bothering me. I'd like to think I have a pretty high pain tolerance when it comes to shots. Not this one. This one hurt SO BAD and lasted forever because like I mentioned it's a syrup like solution so they can't just shoot it in, they have to go super slow. OW OW OW! It's worth it though! All this pain is tempotary and going to end up in the best reward ever.
I've been pretty sick lately. Morning sickness is a huge lie! Try all day sickness. As weird as it sounds though, the sickness is a comfort in a way. I know everything is still ok as long as I'm sick. I guess I'd rather be sick then not sick and worried. I should only have a few more weeks of it too.
My next appointment is on Jan. 4. I can't wait!

Halloween (Really Late...I Know! SORRY!!)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN...which was almost a month ago!! Whoops! We've been so busy lately! I'm so ready for a break in the crazy schedule. Ugh. Oh well! Anyway...

Halloween has come and gone. Sad day! It didn't even feel like halloween this year. It went so fast. As it was our first halloween as a married couple, Jason and I really wanted to have a great couples costume. We kinda fell short due to the lack of time to plan (this lack of time thing seems to be a common trend). I was a cat and he was a scratched up cat tamer. No one got it though. Next year we'll do better!

We went to my parent's cul-de-sac halloween put luck on halloween. There are about 10 houses on the cul-de-sac. They block it off with tables and everyone puts there baskets of candy on those tables for the trick-or-treaters. Everyone cooks and they have a pot luck get together. It's really fun. We all sit in a circle of lawn chairs and talk. This year since the rangers were playing, they hooked up a projecter and projected the game onto one of the family's garage door. The dads LOVED that. Come to think of it, most the the moms did too.

Little LuLu is growing by leaps and bounds! She's doubled in size (literally...she was 1 lb when we got her and is now 2lbs after just a month) since we got her. For Halloween she was a "lion tamer" just like daddy, as you can see in the first picture. That is her favorite toy. She also has the cutest pumpkin halloween dress. It was a bit big on her but next year I think it will be perfect. I really need to post an update on her. I will do that soon!
She's loves playing with her Aunt Amelia (as you can see in the picture). I'm surprised to say that Amelia really loves her. They get along great and are always together when we take LuLu to my parents.
Well Thankgiving has also passed us by! I had 4 days off a work and was definitely looking forward to the break! We went to Jason's parents thanksgiving in the morning/afternoon ish and then my parents in the evening. I really enjoyed getting to spend the holiday with both of them. It was defintely a very special day to me! Something about Thanksgiving just makes everyone warm and happy.
The food was amazing. I am so thankful to both of my families for working so hard to make such a deliciuos meal! My mouth is watering just thinking about it! SO YUMMY!!!
Unfortunetely I got really sick over the break. Boo! I ended up having to go to the e-care emergency room. I had a really bad sinus infection. Thank goodness they perscribed me an antibiotic and I'm feeling better everyday, but man was I miserable! Worst sinus pressure/headache EVER! I seem to get sick every other Thanksgiving so I guess that means the next one, I'm in the clear! YESS!
That's all I've got for now! Hope everyone is having a wonderful and blessed holiday season! More soon! ...promise ; )
