Easter and Pregnancy Update

Hope everyone had a very happy Easter! We sure did. Such a great first Easter as a married couple. It was really nice to be able to spend time together as well as with our families.

On Saturday night, we decided to brave the storms and go to Target for some last minute Easter candy so we could make Easter baskets for each other. We kinda went a bit overboard...as you can see. We're going to have Easter candy forever now! I don't think we'll ever eat it all. Then again, knowing us we probably will HAHA!

It was really fun to make the baskets together. It was really hard not to eat the candy though. Everyone knows you have to wait till Easter to eat the candy. Unwritten rule!

Jason and his Easter basket. So much candy! He was so happy!!

Me and my Easter basket! Yummy!

LuLu bear on Easter morning. She was so excited! She wouldn't stop jumping all over the place. We got an air shot of her! What a cutie...

Every year my family colors eggs! I love this tradition.

Mom and dad on Easter. They made such an amazing meal!

Easter dinner! We had the most delicious ham of all time! Holy cow it was so amazing! Best ham we've ever had! We also made mashed potatoes, candied yams, green beans, salad, and rolls. My mouth is watering just thinking about it...

Here is the lemon meringue pie my mom made! Oh man was it good! She makes the best pies!

Eggs from the Easter egg hunt. Jason and my sister, Katie, tied in the first round. So we had to do a sudden death round. We hid one egg in a very difficult location and whoever found it first, won. Katie won! Congrats Katie!

Here is my 27 weeks pregnant picture. I didn't get around to posting an update. Nothing new really happened though. If I think of anything I'll post it in my next update. I'm 28 weeks today, so that update will be soon!

Happy Easter everyone! He is risen!

26 Week Pregnant!

Wow! What a week! I should say weekend! First off, I'm 26 weeks and 4 days pregnant now. Baby Mason is now the size of a hothouse cucumber (14 inches) and weighs about 1.75 pounds. His brain and lungs are much more developed this week. Go Mason go! 14 weeks to go!

Jason painted Mason's nursery yesterday. The color is absolutely PERFECT!!! Exactly what we wanted. Not too light of a blue that you can't see it but not too dark that it screams boy blue. Perfect. Then today Jason set up his crib and changing table. I put his all his bedding together. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! Words cannot describe how absolutely perfect his nursery is. Exactly what I dreamed of. The elephants are precious. Super cute theme.

I'll post pictures as soon as I take some.

Jason worked so hard! He did all that work in only 2 days. He is so awesome and I am so blessed to have him as my husband. Thanks honey!!

I felt GREAT this week until the weather freaked out. Everytime the weather changes or we have storms I get a migraine. So I think I would have been migraine free for the first week in a long time had the weather not been bad. Other than that, everything is pretty much the same. Still tried and loving my naps!

We went to the temple wednesday evening. It was so nice to be in that wonderful atmosphere. Great middle of the week treat.

Check back next week!

SO EXCITED!!

So lately I have been so excited to meet my son! Everytime I see a picture of a baby or watch a baby show I get this overwhelming feeling of pure excitement and happiness. I feel so blessed to be only 15 weeks (well a little less than 15) away from holding my son in my arms.

I wonder what he'll look like all the time. Will he look more like Jason or like me? Maybe a perfect combination of both of us!

AHH! I'm just so beyond excited!

25 Weeks Pregnant!

I'm 25 weeks and 4 days pregnant now. Mason is now the size of a rutabaga (whatever that is lol) which is 13.5 inches. He weighs about 1.5 pounds. Baby fat is continueing to fill in; creating a smoother look. Mason's hair is growing in more and developing texture and color. Go Mason go!

I can't believe there is only 15 more weeks until I'll be holding my son! So crazy to think about! I am so excited! I think time has been going much faster lately. We have a lot to do and now too much time to do it. We'll get it done though.

We went to home depot yesterday and picked out a paint color for his room. It's called millstone I think. Not positive though. Anyway...it's this really nice very light blue color. Perfect baby boy color in my opinion. Jason is going to paint sometime in the next few weeks.

I felt pretty good this week. The only difference I've noticed is I'm starting to get more and more tried (again). I used to take a nap when I got home from work because I wanted to and loved nap time. Now I HAVE to take a nap. It's not a short nap either, it's 1-2 hours long.

I bought Mason's coming home outfit. It's so adorable. It's coming in the mail, so I don't have a picture but I'll take one once it arrives. It's a white onsie with blue stones on it that say baby boy. I'm gonna have him wear light blue socks and a light blue hat with it too. He's gonna look so cute!

LuLu has been super sick this week. I had to take her to the vet on monday. Poor little gal has horrible allergies, so she's in a steroid for that. She also has been having real bad tummy issues and has pills for that too. She's been getting better but still ins't 100%. All she's been eating is rice with a probiotic powder in it cause that's all her little tummy can handle. I'm gonna boil her some chicken tomorrow and see how she handles it. Then maybe we can start introducing her food back into her diet.

We went to my nephew's blessing today. What a little cutie! I'm so happy we got to be there for that. After we got to spend time with family. I love spending time with family. Especially on Sundays.

We have dinner with my parents every Sunday and tonight my mom got creme brule. AHHH!!! It was so GOOD!!!! Definitely one of my most favorite treats in the whole wide world! I really want to learn how to make it one day. I just don't know if I could ever master crystalizing the top. Never know till I try though, right? ; )

Check back next week for my 26 week update!

24 Weeks Pregnant!

Sorry, the spacing is still messed up and I don't know how to fix it. Annoyed. Anyway...I'm 24 weeks pregnant now. Yay 6 months! This week little Mason is the size of corn (12.5 inches) and weighs 1.25 pounds. His respiratory system is rapidely growing; his lungs lungs are developing in preparation for breathing by moving amniotic fluid in and out. Go Mason go!

I had a doctors appointment on Tuesday. It went really well. Little Mason is right on track. We heard his heartbeat and that was great too. So everything is wonderful. I have another one towards the end of this month (april). At that one I have to do the test for gestational diabetes. I don't think it's going to be as bad as everyone says it is. At least I hope not. I just have to drink this super sugary drink and then an hour later have my blood drawn. Apparently not many women handle the drink very well though; they throw up and/or pass out after drinking it. I think I'll be ok.

Mason is kicking harder and harder. The other day I was able to see him kicking for the first time. It was so great, I loved it.

Well that's all I can think of for now. Check back next week for my 25 weeks update : )

Rest in Peace Amelia Jean

Our little Amelia went to be with our heavenly father yesterday. She's been sick for about a month. When the vet did blood work, they found they was in kidney failure. She was only 2 and a half years old, so the vet thinks she was born with bad kidneys. We have been blessed to have had her as long as we did. She has most definitely blessed our lives and will be terribly missed. I'll never foget picking out from the other dogs up for adoption at petsmart. She was so stinkin' cute! And such a sweetheart. Amelia was very protective of her people. If you were one of her chosen few, she protected you no matter what. She loved her people so much. Never before have I known a dog that could truely smile like Amelia could. When she was happy, she had the most adorable smile on her little face. She even laughed. She was such a happy little dog. I'm happy to know little Amelia Jean is no longer suffering. She's not in pain. She's happy. We love you beautiful Amelia!! Rest in peace...
