Apparently this one was one of the best tests. It does not lie! There is no mistaking it, that is most definitely a positive. And for everyone that keeps asking YES IT WAS REALLY A SURPRISE!! ...but a good one! After we got over the shock and "oh my gosh! how are we gonna make this work?!!" we got very excited. We know everything happens for a reason and Heavenly Father has a plan. We feel very privileged that He blessed us with this new little life.
These are pictures from my first untrasound. That was such an amazing expereince. So at my first OB appointment I got an untrasound first (duh). We got to see our little baby, which was then the size of a pea. I wasn't as far along as we thought though. Only 6 weeks and 5 days. Amazingly we got to see and hear the little heartbeat. That was a miracle in itself because I was so early, they didn't think they would have been able to hear the heartbeat BUT they did! Go baby go! The heartrate was 123 which was also good for the age the baby was. At that time I didn't have many symptoms (besides being exhausted beyond all beleif) and it just didn't feel real. Being able to see and hear the baby made it all real!
I also met my doctor who is AWESOME! Such a nice lady! I absolutely adore her. She made me feel 100% comfortable. The office is also amazing! So relaxing and calm. I guess in a place where things can get stressful it's has to be a relaxing environment.
Yesterday I ended up having to go back to the doctor due to some complications. Everything turned out ok, thank goodness. I had another ultrasound. Baby got much bigger. Now the size of a raspberry and starting to look like something at 8 weeks and 5 days.
I'm so thankful to my mom who took me to my appointment and never left me side. Best mommy ever! LOVE YOU!
We got to hear the heartbeat again, it was much faster this time at 163. According to the wives tale it's a girl according to the heartbeat. Who knows though! I can't wait to find out! I think it'll be around my birthday (March 16) when we do find out. So not too much longer...sorta!
We found out I have the blood type o negative so I had to get a giant shot in my booty. I need to do some more research on it but apparently my blood type can cause issues with future pregnancies but getting this shot will take care of that. I have to get another one when I'm around 28 weeks and then another after the baby is born. Let's just say I'm not exactly excited. This shot was intense. First of all it's called a syrem, which leads me to believe that it's more of a syrup then a liquid. OW! My mom had to move when they were doing it because it was so intense. Keep in mind she is not a squemish lady. Lately shots have no been bothering me. I'd like to think I have a pretty high pain tolerance when it comes to shots. Not this one. This one hurt SO BAD and lasted forever because like I mentioned it's a syrup like solution so they can't just shoot it in, they have to go super slow. OW OW OW! It's worth it though! All this pain is tempotary and going to end up in the best reward ever.
I've been pretty sick lately. Morning sickness is a huge lie! Try all day sickness. As weird as it sounds though, the sickness is a comfort in a way. I know everything is still ok as long as I'm sick. I guess I'd rather be sick then not sick and worried. I should only have a few more weeks of it too.
My next appointment is on Jan. 4. I can't wait!
